This page sets out practical habits for keeping gambling as entertainment, and states plainly what this site can and cannot do to help someone who wants to stop or slow down. Every page on this site, including this one, carries links to gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. Those three links are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial: they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them.
Limits
Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion are account settings held by an operator. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can switch one of those controls on, check its status or enforce it. A reader who wants any of these controls has to arrange them inside an account at the destination they reach after following an operator link. Nobody's age is verified on this site either, and no gambling takes place on it. Age checks, like the money controls above, happen only at the destination. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing, as a plain statement rather than a check this site performs.
Before you start
- Decide the amount before you begin and leave the decision there. Choosing a figure while calm is more reliable than trying to judge it mid-session.
- Treat that amount as already spent. Thinking of it as a fixed cost, rather than money that might come back, removes the pressure to recover it.
- Never chase a loss. Increasing a stake to win back what is gone usually deepens the loss instead of closing it.
- Keep gambling out of borrowed money. Money that is owed elsewhere turns a loss into a second problem on top of the first.
- Take breaks during play. Stepping away breaks the momentum that keeps a session running longer than intended.
- Involve someone else early, as soon as it stops feeling like entertainment. A second perspective catches what is hard to see from inside the habit.
Listings
Each of the ten operator listings on this site ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms can change without notice. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.
Help
The three organisations named above are the only source of help linked from this site, and this page does not describe what they do beyond being an independent source of help. Their links appear on every page of the site, this one included, positioned separately from the commercial operator links and marked as described above.
